So we didn't take any pictures today of our Hawaiian adventure tour because it would mostly involve pictures of Jim and I laid up in bed. The McDowell's have been such gracious hosts, sharing everything with us - including the stomach bug that started with Micah New Year's Weekend. It's gone through their entire family and now on to Jim and I. Hopefully this nasty bug will make it's exit of our clan tonight and we'll enjoy an adventurous weekend at Volcanoes National Park!

ABC Jesus Loves Me

So, it may be mid-year for most students, but Margo and I are just gearing up! We are entering our third week of "school!" I found a free preschool, Christian curriculum called ABC Jesus Loves Me. So far it has been perfect for us! It's one lesson plan a week that you divide up into three days with focus areas to cover during your normal daily routine. The website has lots of supplemental ideas plus there are lots of online helps that she links to and a Facebook page and blog! Margo LOVES it and it has been really easy for me to blend into our routine. She is in the two year old curriculum now and we are staring mid-year (because the curriculum has holiday and season related lessons) but we are hoping to cover the first part of this past year through the summer and start on the 3 year curriculum in the fall of 2012. I'll keep you updated in how it's going! :)

Margo loves our Play n Pray leader, Angie, and today was her last day leading our group before she and her family moves. All the kids got to give "Miss" Angie a flower and tell her something that they love about her. Margo said that she loves singing with her. We have learned some stellar songs through the PnP program, Slippery Fish, 10 Men, and hand motions to Jesus Loves Me to name a few, not to mention all the amazing crafts, games, and friends we have made through the past year and a half! It will start back up in January and we are looking forward to getting involved again with a new teacher and seeing new and old friends!

Margo is now totally hooked on salads! She ate some of mine and finished off the entire thing. Now she'll say, "mmm, I've never had this before!
