One of the many things I love about being a stay at home mom is that Margo and I have a very flexible schedule at this time in our lives! If I feel like going somewhere or doing something we can usually work it in with very little effort. So, yesterday I had to pick up a knife that we left at the campground that we stayed at a few weeks ago with the Murray side of the family. After driving over an hour and a half one way to pick it up, I decided we'd make our trek out there worth it and stay for a picnic lunch. I had packed us a small lunch and we enjoyed it watching the boats coming in and out of the harbor. Then Margo remembered the beach - I didn't bring ANY spare clothes or any other necessities for swimming but thought we could wade in the water since we were out during the hottest part of our crazy hot SC summer. I have to say that I am pretty impressed with how it all worked out - I stripped Margo down to her panties and diaper (another little girl was dressed almost identical to Margo so I didn't feel so bad about not having her in an actual suit) and I had on a long shirt so I took off my pants and knew that I had black underwear on so *maybe* it would look like a bathing suit - I feel like I pulled it off and it looked like I just had a coverup on. I had a sunscreen towelette and after we played on the beach for an hour, we hosed off at the showers and we went into the bathroom and used a few paper towels to dry off. I feel like that was a pretty successful unplanned park visit! :)
