Silkies Bakery

We found yet another local favorite eatery.  An amazing restaurant serving German and other European foods and delicious homemade breads and pastries!

Pre-Deployment

Pre-Deployment Brief - I think those words will always make my heart sink a little, my stomach turn in knots, and anxiety rise.  It's the beginning of the process for our soldiers to head off for a 9 month deployment.  It was also a time for Jim to help calm some of those fears and give the soldiers and families some support and resources.  I cannot tell you how proud I am of my chaplain!  He briefed over 500 soldiers plus their families and gave out lots of good resources to help families connect and thrive during the separation that is to come.

Packing

So, I just noticed that I have not posted anything in a WEEK. Sorry all of my faithful followers!  We have been in packing, moving mode and are going a little crazy with all the details that I haven't taken many pictures or thought to post anything.  We should be all moved in to our new house on post this coming Saturday and I am beyond ready to feel somewhat settled!

Our Little Ballerina

Margo started ballet today at Ft. Campbell.  Skies Unlimited is the program on post for kids to do all types of sports and activities.  While Jim is deployed we will get allocated funds from the Army for Margo to attend activities on post-which means Margo will be able to do all types of FREE stuff! :)  We decided to start with ballet and I think those smiles tell us we may have found her niche!

Routine

We decided that with the start of ballet we would begin a Thursday night tradition of fancy spaghetti dinner with candle light! Tonight was the perfect night with a beautiful view of the sunset sky.

A Day with Aaron and Kat

We got to show Aaron and Kat around Clarksville for a day.  Jim was suppose to be able to join us mid-day but was called away to Memphis.  So, Margo, Aaron, Katherine, and I still enjoyed a day's adventure around Clarksville and Ft. Campbell!
