Big Bubbles

This awesome bubble wand came from Ms. Kim Freed and it has been a great backyard toy this spring!  It makes massive bubbles you can almost stand in and while I didn't catch any on camera yet Margo's getting the hang of it and we are having a great time with big bubbles!

Shaved Ice Goodness!

Last summer this shaved ice truck was outside the PX.  Every time that we went to the PX Margo wanted to stop and have some shaved ice.  Toward the end of summer I told her we could finally go after we went into the PX for some shopping.  When we came out the stand was closed - for the season - needless to say Margo was devastated and I felt a tang of guilt.  So when we went to the PX this week and saw the stand was open we went right to it and Margo got a pink and blue bubble gum shaved ice! Sorry PX staff for all the bright blue puddles on the floor - my little girl was worth it! ;)

Running...sort of...

I have decided that I really dislike running and jogging - I think I could power walk for miles but I really, really dislike running!  I would rather be in a kick-boxing class than running on a treadmill. I don't know if that's everybody, but I am guessing that there are some people who enjoy running because I'm married to one.  So, training for a half marathon has been pretty much non-existent for me and add in the extra de-modivator that my husband is already HOME and this marathon thing was just something for me to do to pass the time until he came home, and it's no wonder why I am NOT ready for this weekend's race.  So, I've down graded myself from the half to the "mini" marathon which as a perfectionist I do NOT like to downgrade myself.  It's been hard to come to terms with, but my body is SO not ready for this so when I MUST run, it sure is nice that we have a beautiful trail to go on here in Clarksville...

Remembering...

A precious family lost their son, Noah, six years ago this week.  We had the honor of visiting his grave site in Columbia, SC when we visited family at the beginning of the month.  The Bacheller's have been such a God-honoring family through this tragedy.  We have been so blessed to know their family and Noah's big bright smile when he was hear on earth.  Job 1:21 "The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord"
Visiting our friend's son's grave site and planting a few yellow tulips.  We lived a few trailers over from the Bacheller family and knew their son before he passed away.  They are an amazing family who serve the Lord as missionary's now!
