First Bath

We've learned a lot since having Margo - one is the first bath.  We chose not to have JD washed after he was born in the hospital for several reasons (the biggest being the health benefits of delaying the first wash) and so he had his first bath after a few spit up sessions and crusty eyelids.  We learned to make the bathroom toasty and warm (Jim had just taken a shower and I kept the heater vent on in the bathroom so it felt like a sauna in there!) Then I swaddled JD up in a towel and kept him covered during the whole bath only exposing one part at a time to get a little rub down.  He did great and was quiet and relaxed the entire time.  It made for a fun snuggly time for all of us! :)
