JD at Two Months Old!

JD is 2 months old!  He is 13.5 lbs and 23.8 inches long and in the 75th percentile in height and weight.  

~ He is smiling regularly now, especially when he has just eaten and has a full belly!

~ He likes when you play with his legs - pushing back on you, and he'll hold your fingers if you put them in his hand.

~ He has begun lightly cooing back at you when you talk to him and give him time to respond.

~ He likes turning his head to the left and snuggles in my right arm.

~ He will lock eyes with you and study your face for a second before giving a big grin!

~ His "witching hour" is most evenings between 6-8pm when he is a little fussy and wants to be held, sometimes nursing, but many times arching his back and screaming for a little while.  He is quieted down by a paci if he is bounced while giving it to him and he will grunt and mutter while he starts sucking on it.

~ He sleeps several hours off and on during the day with longer stretches being around 10am and 1pm but he's always ready to go out and has no trouble adjusting to being out and about!

~ He's been sleeping from 10pm-12pm, nursing, and then going back to sleep until 7am.  Many times he'll go back to sleep after eating at 7am for a little longer!  He's a great sleeper and still sleeps in a bassinet in a pack-n-play next to our bed and is swaddled when he sleeps at night.

We love this little man and are so thankful he is growing well and is such a joy to have around!
