JD at three months old!!!

Our sweet baby boy is three months old!  He is approximately 14.5lb!

~ He is a smiley boy!  Whenever he locks eyes with someone, he'll give you a big smile!

~ He is a big talker too!  He talks by grunting and giving expressive faces in grunts and coos!

~ He gets excited when I stand him up on my lap grunting and waving his arms when he stands.

~ He enjoys laying on the playmat with the songs singing and the puppy in the middle swaying.

~ He likes holding onto his monkey pacifier or a blanket while he sleeps.

~ He's done a few "nursing strikes" where he really fights nursing but does fine taking a bottle and will nurse when he is relaxed (especially if I catch him as he is sleepy and snuggle him up to nurse).  It's been a bit of a battle but we are taking it in stride!

~ He had his tongue tie clipped at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital on June 19th.  It has healed well and I've noticed a difference in his latch when nursing and he can now put his tongue over his gum line! :)

~ Since having his tongue tie clipped, he has begun licking the back of his hand and on his three month birthday he found his thumb for the first time!

~ He still sleeps in a bassinet beside our bed waking up once or twice a night to nurse and then go right back to sleep.  He also still sleeps several hour stretches during the day.

~ We have found that he is a great little traveler!  He does well in his carseat and even slept the entire drive to South Carolina when we drove through the night - stopping once to fill up on gas and I topped him off with a quick nurse while we got gas.  

~ He got to meet all of his aunts and uncles and cousins this month, got to feel the ocean for the first time on June 22nd and was dedicated at our home church in SC on June 29th!
